يخطط المجلس العلمي التقني في روسيا لإجراء اجتماع مغلق لمناقشة تجنب الأرض الاصطدام الكارثي المحتمل بنيزك عملاق بعد 26 سنة. وقال مدير وكالة الفضاء الدولية الروسية اناتولي برمينوف سوف يلتقي المجلس العلمي التقني قريبا في اجتماع مغلق لمناقشة ما يمكن فعله بشان مواجهة الكويكب ابو فيس الذي يهدد بتدمير جزء من الأرض في العام 2036.
وأفادت وكالة ريا نوفوستي انه في حال اصطدام الكويكب الذي يصل قطره إلى 350مترا بالأرض أثناء مروره بقربها في العام 2036 سيخلق هذا الاصطدام صحراء جديدة بحجم فرنسا مضيفة يحتمل انه أن يقترب الكويكب مسافة 30 ألف متر من الأرض في العام 2029 أي اقرب من بعض المحطات الأرضية الفضائية يحتمل أن يصطدم بالأرض بعد سبع سنوات.
