يناشد شاعرنا حبيبته بان تعطيه جوابا لطالما حلم ان يلقاه منها لدرجه انه يتمني ان تقول وتعيد هذا الجواب المأمول لعده مرات ولا ارق عند شاعرنا من أن يكون هذا الجواب كلاما أو أغنيه يطرب لسماعها ..فإنه يكره هذا السكوت من قبل حبيبته الذي يشوي قلبه ويجعله كالزجاج القابل للتهشم في أي لحظه
شاعرنا فخور جدا بحبه هذا ويتسائل حالما اذا ما كانت حبيبته تفتخر بتعذيبها له لأنه تعود على كثره التعذيب والمراره من حبيبته
هنا يعرض الشاعر لنا وبوضوح صوره عن طريقه تعامل حبيبته له وهذا يفسر لنا ابياته الاولي التي ترجم فيها عذابه وأنينه
تصوير جميل ولطيف ..شاعرنا يريد من حبيبته ان تمطره جملا من الغرام .. وهذا من لهفته من تجاوب حبيبته في مبادلته المشاعر والاحاسيس لدرجه انه يتخيل حبها له كالسماء تمطر إبلا وجمال
ماهو حال الغريق الذي يملك طوق الناه في يديه إلا انه لا يقوي ان ينجو من هذا الغرق فليس هناك ما يضر شاعرنا أكثر من ذلك.. فهو قد سلم نفسه وقدره لحبيبته التي يحلم بها ليل نار
أبيات بلغت غايه الجمال في التصوير والبلاغه وهذا الجمال يعود سره إلى المشاعر الجياشه في احشاء الشاعر وصبره الطويل على تجاهل حبيبته له
