ستشرع Google في إطلاق منصتها التلفزية Google Tv في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية خلال الأسابيع القليلة المقبلة، والتي من خلالها يمكن لأجهزة التلفاز المذمجة بهذه الخدمة، الاتصال بالإنترنت وتحميل المحتوى كالأفلام وغيرها …
بالتعاون مع ثلاث مصنعين، أولهما Sony ، والآخر هو Logitech (والذي يعنى بصنع صناديق مخصصة للخدمة)، و Intel للمعالجات، تهدف Google لإنشاء صنف جدبد “هجين” بين تلفاز وجهاز حاسوب لم تتضح معالمه بعد. أما الواجهة فستكون مجهزة بنظامي Android و Chrome ومدمجة بمحرك بحث خاص. إذا من خلال سريرك عزيزي القارئ سيمكنك تصفح تلفازك بالدخول على الـYoutube مثلا أو البحث عن معلومة بينما تشاهد برنامجك المفضل . ليس هذا فقط، سيكون بإمكانك الدخول على متجر تطبيقات Android وتحمل تطبيق لتلفازك ! مفاوضات أخرى جارية مع كبار مزويدي المحتوى لتوفير خدمة VoD أو فيديو عند الطلب ودمجها بالخدمة . كما يمكن استعمال هاتفك الذكي المجهز بـAndroid أو iPhone كمتحكم عن بعد بالجهاز. للإطلاع على الإعلان والمزيد من التفاصيل لا تأبى هذه الشركات إلا تنويع نشاطاتها، فلو تلاحظ عزيزي القارئ أن آبل قد جاءت بخدمة Apple TV لمزامنة واستئجار الأفلام، وكذا Amazon بخدمة VoD مدفوعة وتوفيرها سواء على موقعها أو على أجهزة تلفاز متصلة بالأنترنت، كذلك فعلت Microsoft مع أجهزة الـ Xbox، فكيف تفسر هذا الاهتمام المفاجئ بقطاع التلفزة ؟ وماهي آفاقه في عالمنا العربي مع تدني سرعات الأنترنت؟ وهل Google TV سبب دعم Youtube للفيديو عالي الدقة لغرض دمجه بالخدمة ؟
